PROCOM prepares for the launch of electronic invoice 4.4 in Costa Rica

At PROCOM we take our clients' tax commitments very seriously and that is why we are preparing for the launch of version 4.4 of the electronic invoice in Costa Rica.

Please note that on November 19, 2024, the Costa Rican tax authority published in the Official Gazette the General Resolution MH-DGT-RES-0027-2024, which dictates the technical provisions on the electronic receipts used. This introduces the new Version 4.4 of the Electronic Receipts, with important updates and changes in the current regulations to be taken into consideration.

The official publication includes a new Annex of Structures and XSD Schemas for the new version, as well as an update to Version 4.3, which, starting in 2025, will add two new nodes that will impact the vouchers that support the sale of medicines in the pharmaceutical sector. The date for the entry into force of the nodes “Pharmaceutical Registration” and “Pharmaceutical Form” is January 01, 2025.
